 StockPickReport Commentary
                         $100 Oil?

The other day I had a couple guys come to my door. They wanted to sell me something. I told them I was not interested but if they wanted to find out why, I'd gladly discuss that -- you know, in the interest of "fairness".

See, I figure that the least "a couple guys" that come to my doorstep over lunch can do is give me a chance to entertain THEM. Am I right? You can imagine that they didn't want to hear my response to their sales pitch. But they did ask me a question. They asked, "Did you ever stop to really think about it?"

To which I replied (with a smile on my face), "No, but then again I haven't stopped to really think about whether my parents were space aliens, either."

The two "sales guys" did not smile. Okay, maybe I was a bit rough. But, hey, don't ask a question for which you don't know the answer -- I say. So, with all that in mind, I boldly ask you, "Do you think oil could hit $100 a barrel"?

You know, you won't hear any "serious" pundits discuss the possibility. But, we think it's a question which bears asking. Think about these points: A) We are about to enter the "we need heating oil badly" season, B) No end in sight to the Iraq situation, and C) There's no incentive for the oil producing states to ask for less than they can get right now -- and the "can get right now" part just keeps escalating. We'll get to what $100 oil could do for the markets tomorrow. For tonight, what's your opinion? We'd love to know if you think either: A) That the question is laughable; and B) If we do hit $100 a barrel oil, what do you think the ramifications will be?

See you tomorrow with some answers AND solutions to the problem. P.S. Although my parents are not space aliens, they sometimes wonder if I "came from outer space"!
