ReelTime Eyes Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 and MSN TV2 for Set Top Box Technology

SEATTLE, Nov. 30, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Reeltime Rentals, Inc. (Pink Sheets:RLTR) announced the Company's plans to add MSN TV2 and Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 to its compatible set top box list for the national deployment of its Rental-on-Demand service.

"The new emergence of broadband-enabled PC's for the living room accelerates ReelTime's IRDS deployment by allowing us to utilize these PC's as set top boxes without the requirement of proprietary development and potential manufacturing delays. We are pleased that major manufacturers such as Dell, Compaq and others have embraced this concept and strongly believe that this trend will drive the new media experience and propel our Rental-on-Demand Client deployment to finish much sooner than we previously expected," stated Alex Stanczyk, CEO of Reeltime Rentals, Inc.

The software giant recently released MSN TV 2, a $199 device that now supports high-speed, always-on Internet connections, home networking and messaging on a TV -while still functioning as a basic TV-based Web and e-mail terminal. Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005-based PCs make it easy for consumers to have a central location to maintain all their music, photos and TV shows.

On October 12, 2004 at the Digital Entertainment Anywhere launch in Los Angeles, Microsoft CEO Bill Gates stated, "Today, the dream of digital entertainment becomes a reality. People want to choose how and where they enjoy their digital media, and to easily customize their digital entertainment experiences. The vast array of innovative new products and services announced today from Microsoft and our partners enables them to do just that."
