Quantech Announces the Completion of Version 5.0 of its DimiSwitch Solution

DENVER and LONDON, Dec. 1, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Quantech Electronics Corp. (Pink Sheets:QANT), through its wholly owned subsidiary DimiTel Ltd, announced today that its DimiSwitch solution can now support both SIP and IAX/IAX2 on its wholesale platform.

Version 5.0 of DimiTel's DimiSwitch solution, a proprietary VoIP switching and billing solution, will now support SIP and IAX/IAX2, allowing Telco operators to switch via the increasingly popular SIP and IAX/IAX2 protocols.

The new version of DimiSwitch from DimiTel Ltd., the experienced voice applications and voice-billing provider, will be beneficial to many operators when terminating calls from VoIP adaptors and carrier to carrier VoIP traffic. Current operators using the DimiSwitch wholesale platform will be able to upgrade to the new version. The new version is planned to be deployed into DimiTel's existing switching services by the end of Q1 2005, which will increase the currently handled capacity and scalability of their service based offerings.

According to the Managing Director of DimiTel Ltd, Mr. Rony Cohen, "The DimiSwitch wholesale platform is up to date with SIP technology and provides greater voice quality then the previous version."

The DimiSwitch Version 5.0 switching and billing system provides the ability to create customers, tariffs, tariff-plans along side user groups and user management features. It is also backward compatible on all the previous VoIP compression protocols.
