Rodamco Europe acquires 11th shopping center in Stockholm for SEK 625 million (€ 70 million)


Väsby Centrum includes 40,000 m2 of leasable area. Just over 20,000 m² is a shopping centre with ca. 60 shops including e.g. ICA, H&M, Interflora, Stadium, Lindex, Intersport, Duka and MQ. The centre accommodates services like a post office, banks, pharmacy and a travel agency.

The centre also comprises 6,000 m² of office premises, 5,000 m² of senior citizens' residences and a health centre of 6,000 m². The occupancy rate is approx. 98% and the number of visitors per year is around  3,5 million.

The Stockholm region has positive economic growth with a stable population development where purchasing power is expected to increase in the next few years. As with other shopping centres, our ambition is to further develop and improve Väsby Centrum."
 
Väsby Centrum is situated in the municipality of Upplands Väsby, 20 km north of the city centre of Stockholm. The municipal centre is built in 1972 and over the years it has undergone a number of refurbishments and extensions.  Twice, it has won the "Shopping Centre of the Year" award in Sweden. Access to the centre is very good with its location right between Stockholm and the airport Arlanda, 700 parking spaces and good public transport.
