Oslo 17 December 2004: Moody's has completed its analysis of Statkraft AS and has assigned the long-term issuer rating to be Baa2. The rating outlook is stable. This is identical to Moody's previous issuer rating for Statkraft SF. Statkraft SF no longer requires an issuer rating since future financing will take place in Statkraft AS. The issuer rating for Statkraft SF is therefore terminated. Moody's maintains an Aaa rating for loans raised by Statkraft SF. These loans, which were raised prior to 1 January 2003, are indirectly guaranteed by the Norwegian state. Moody's complete report will be made available on statkraft.com once it is ready.
