As a consequence of a number of requests from shareholders in Romsdals Fellesbank, in addition to the considerable increase in the offering price the last day of the offering period, Sparebank 1 Midt-Norge will prolong the deadline for acceptance of the offer until January 5th 2005 at 1600 hours. The board of directors' handling of the offer has furthermore created interference in the offering period. Unfortunately; this has taken the focus away from the real content of the offer, and the significance for the bank's clients, employees and shareholders.
In order for all the shareholders of Romsdals Fellesbank to have an equal opportunity to consider the new offering price, together with the content of the offer; Sparebank 1 Midt-Norge wishes to prolong the last deadline for acceptance of the offer to the 5th of January 2005, at 1600 hours.
