Agfa HealthCare (booth # 734) will be highlighting many of its newest solutions and services for the Healthcare Enterprise at the HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) show in Dallas this week.
Agfa technology experts will be available to demonstrate its industry-leading solutions, including IMPAX(TM), an enterprise-wide digital imaging and information management system. IMPAX ES is the first of Agfa's Next Generation releases to feature 'Connectivity Inside' and a new thin client Clinical Application Server, which will evolve to a web-enabled Clinical and Diagnostic Display Client Server mid-2005.
At the show, Agfa will be launching two new services portfolios. The Security Services Roadmap is comprised of solutions to assist IT Managers in addressing security issues. The Integration Services Portfolio consists of EHR (Electronic Health Record) Image Enablement, Enterprise Clinical Dashboard, IMPAX MPI (Master Patient Index) and Desktop Integration. These four solutions help unify the presentation of electronic health records, link patient imaging studies across hospital facilities and automate multi-vendor workflow processes.
Additionally, Agfa will be showing its latest solution, IMPAX RIS/PACS (Radiology Information System/Picture Archiving and Communications System), for Outpatient and Imaging Centers, a growing segment that uses a single point of access to integrated information and image management workflow and results distribution. Other technologies that show attendees can experience in the Agfa booth include TalkStation(TM) 3.0, the industry's leading, fully integrated speech recognition dictation and workflow solution for reporting, and Agfa's Enterprise Clinical Dashboard Solution. This provides single sign-on/single search capability, allowing healthcare providers to query and access disparate systems for patient information.
Agfa will also be highlighting several customers and the success they have found with Agfa HealthCare solutions, including:
- Southern Ohio Medical Center (U.S.), which experienced significant workflow and report turnaround improvements after integrating Agfa's IMPAX RIS and TalkStation with its existing IMPAX PACS solution
- Maine Medical Center of Portland, ME, which is implementing and integrating the IMPAX RIS v5.4.1 and TalkStation v3.0 with an existing Agfa IMPAX PACS
- The U.S. National Naval Medical Center, which has chosen Agfa's IMPAX PACS
- Exeter Hospital (U.S.), which successfully integrated Agfa's IMPAX PACS system with MEDITECH's Enterprise Medical Record system
- The Scarborough Hospital (Canada) which has selected Agfa's Enterprise Clinical Dashboard
