AdZone Reports January Online Advertising Expenditures Up $68 Million to $716 Million

NEW YORK, Feb. 14, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- AdZone Research Inc. (OTCBB:ADZR), a pioneering Internet surveillance technology solutions provider, and an advertising research firm that tracks more than 95% of all Internet advertising revenue, today said in its latest Internet Advertising Report that in the month of January advertising spending on the Internet grew by more than $68 million, or 10%, compared with December 2004 online spending of $648 million.

"The value of Internet advertising in January was $716 million, a great way to start the New Year," said John A. Cardona, the company's Chief Operating Officer. "This suggests that, as the economy strengthens, the online marketplace will continue to be a dominant force in the advertising arena. Through customized online ad research programs we are currently providing for several clients, along with more in the pipeline, we believe that will represent significant incremental revenues in the year ahead.

"In January, technology continued its dominance as the top advertising category," said Cardona. With nearly $164 million in estimated expenditures, this sector continued its leadership among the top advertisers online, up more than 10% from the prior month."

Other top sectors he cited, in descending order, included: finance, $87.2 million; retail, $75.7 million and health, which more than doubled, growing from approximately $27 million in December 2004 to estimated expenditures of $68.3 million in January.
