Incap Corporation and Tellabs Oy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding concerning the transfer of Tellabs prototype fabrication and preproduction manufacturing to Incap. The agreement applies to Tellabs' Espoo-based prototype and ramp-up unit.
The goal is to sign the actual agreement as soon as possible so that the business operations would transfer to Incap by the end of November.
The agreement extends the present co-operation of Incap and Tellabs to prototypes and preproduction. Incap also believes that the business deal now under negotiation will underpin the company's position as a flexible and fast contract manufacturer. Prototype fabrication and production ramp-up are crucial stages in production for all electronic equipment suppliers and a sound expertise in these areas provides Incap with a channel to enhance the co-operation both with the present and potential customers.
