JetBlue Introduces New Coast-to-Coast Service

Oakland Becomes the Second West Coast Destination for Fort Lauderdale; Sale Fares Start at $89(a) Each Way

NEW YORK, Oct. 13, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- JetBlue Airways (Nasdaq:JBLU) today announced it will begin service between Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Oakland, Calif. starting Jan. 19, 2006 with one daily flight each way. With this route, customers in South Florida will have seven nonstop destinations on the low-fare airline, and Bay Area customers will have a fifth nonstop option on JetBlue. This route will be served by the airline's A320 aircraft.

JetBlue will offer an introductory sale fare between Oakland and Fort Lauderdale of $89(a) each way. This sale fare must be purchased by October 31, 2005, for travel between January 19 and February 14, 2006. Regular fares in this market will range between $149(a) to $349(a) each way. Round trip purchase is never required on JetBlue.

"There has been tremendous customer response to our nonstop service between Fort Lauderdale and Long Beach, so it makes sense to offer more nonstop, low-fare service from South Florida to the West Coast," said JetBlue's CEO David Neeleman. "It's just our way of making Florida a JetBlue state."

In addition to announcing this second West Coast destination from Florida, JetBlue currently offers the most flights of any airline between Florida and New York, the airline's hometown, and will have up to 76 flights for customers by Thanksgiving.

JetBlue offers the most nonstop flights between New York City and the West Coast, including destinations in California. With this new service to South Florida, Northern Californians will have five nonstop destinations on JetBlue.
