Joop Feilzer to withdraw from Fortis Executive Committee


As from 1 November this year, Mr Feilzer will focus on his duties as a member of the Management Committee of Fortis Bank NV/SA and as chairman of the Supervisory Board of Fortis Bank Nederland. In this capacity, he will be responsible for monitoring the implementation of Fortis's banking policy in the Netherlands. He will also continue his role as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Fortis Investments and as a member of the Supervisory Board of Fortis ASR.
 
In addition, Mr Feilzer will focus on Fortis's contacts with clients, the supervisory authorities, other financial institutions and government bodies in the Netherlands. He will also play a representative role on behalf of all Fortis operations in the Netherlands. 
 
Chief Financial Officer Gilbert Mittler will for the time being take charge of Mr Feilzer's other duties, including Investor Relations, as from 1 November.
