Delta Begins to Resume Operations in Mexico, Caribbean After Hurricane Wilma

Customers May Change Certain Travel Plans Without Penalties or Fees


ATLANTA, Oct. 25, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Delta Air Lines is beginning to resume service to destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean affected by Hurricane Wilma with a full schedule of flights operating today at Nassau, Bahamas, and Hamilton, Bermuda. Delta plans to resume partial service to Cancun, Mexico, on Wednesday with two departures from Cancun, though all regularly scheduled arrivals into Cancun remain canceled on Wednesday. Delta service is expected to resume to Cozumel, Mexico, on Saturday, October 29.

Ticketed customers may still change flight plans if their travel schedule was affected by Hurricane Wilma. Impacted cities include:


 -- Cancun, Mexico
 -- Cozumel, Mexico
 -- Freeport/Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas
 -- Nassau, Bahamas

Customers who would like to maintain their flying plans but change their destinations within Mexico should consider Delta's service to Los Cabos, Guadalajara, Mexico City or Monterrey, Mexico.Other alternate destinations in the Caribbean include Grand Cayman; Montego Bay, Jamaica; Providenciales, Turks and Caicos; Santiago and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. Thomas; St. Maarten; and Aruba.

Customers may fly prior to their original departure time without penalty, and those whose flights are cancelled may request refunds. Changes to origins and destinations may result in a fare increase, and any fare difference between the original and new ticket will be collected at the time of rebooking.
