Delta Supports Continued Rebuilding Across the Gulf Coast with Three More Flights to New Orleans

Added service to Atlanta builds on recently announced expansion to Washington, D.C., Orlando

NEW ORLEANS, Oct. 31, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Delta Air Lines is continuing to increase service to the Gulf Coast by adding more flights to the region's economic capital of New Orleans to support businesses and residents as they rebuild in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Beginning Dec. 1, Delta will resume three more daily flights between Atlanta and New Orleans, bringing to seven the total number of flights between the two cities.

In addition to expanded service to Atlanta, Delta also has announced new routes between New Orleans and Washington, D.C. (effective Dec. 1), and the resumption of flights between New Orleans and Orlando, Fla. (effective Nov. 1).

With the December schedule, Delta and the Delta Connection carriers will offer New Orleans customers 11 daily roundtrip flights -- seven to Atlanta, one to Orlando, one to Washington, D.C., and two to Cincinnati.

"We have been encouraged to see the return of such strong customer demand for service between New Orleans and destinations throughout the world and are pleased to continue to support rebuilding efforts across the region," said Bob Cortelyou, vice president of Network Planning. "New Orleans is re-emerging from the destruction it has endured, and Delta will continue to help support the city and the region's economic prosperity, just as we have for more than 60 years."
