Arno Pelkonen Resigns from Stora Enso


HELSINKI, Finland, Jan. 12, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Stora Enso Oyj News Release January 12, 2005 at 11:00 --- Stora Enso (NYSE:SEO) today announced that Arno Pelkonen, Senior Executive Vice President, Strategy and Emerging Markets and member of the Executive Management Group (EMG) has decided to resign his position at Stora Enso.

Although his new position was considered both challenging and promising, it did not, unfortunately, finally meet his expectations. Arno Pelkonen therefore took the decision to resign and explore new professional opportunities.
