BROOKLYN, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 22, 2006 -- Dime Community Bancshares, Inc. (NASDAQ: DCOM ), the parent company for The Dime Savings Bank of Williamsburgh (the
"Bank"), today announced that the Bank will be opening its 21st retail
branch office.
The new retail branch office will be located at 175 West Merrick Road in
Valley Stream, New York, and is currently expected to open for business on
February 27, 2006. The addition will be the Company's 5th retail branch
office within Nassau County, New York.
