Would You Ask a Butterfly Not to Fly? -- New Book Recalls Author's Unforgettable Trip With Her Grandkids

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C., March 10, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Nothing can be more wonderful than watching grandparents spend a lot of time with their grandchildren. For author Allene Morrow Sonntag, taking her grandchildren on a major adventure every summer with her is now a long and happy tradition. This is what readers will learn as Xlibris releases her touching new book The Circle of Warmth.

The Circle of Warmth recalls the unforgettable trip the author and her grandchildren took going to the Sea of Cortez. The trip was remembered not only because they traveled far away from civilization and encountered new people and cultures, but also because of the sudden turn of events when Sonntag's life was in danger and required immediate surgery. With the situation at hand, the grandchildren strived to help Sonntag live on as real help from the ship's crew arrived later.

This book is a family friendly and honest adventure story that truly expresses the importance of family values, independence, and perseverance. It will give grandparents ideas about how to get involved with their grandkids and create a closer relationship with them. In addition, the book illustrates that children can be flexible and be able to rise to the occasion by practicing responsibility. The Circle of Warmth is now available for your reading pleasures online at Xlibris.com.

About the Author

Allene Morrow Sonntag's childhood was difficult so she dreamed a lot, wanting an exciting life. At the age of 19, she got married and later gave birth to four children. Busy but restless she enrolled in college earning a master's degree. She taught history for twenty-eight demanding and exciting years. Wanting more she became an IFR rated private pilot. Over almost twenty years she piloted her own plane to N.W. Alaska, N.E. Nova Scotia, and many areas in between. Now a grandparent, Sonntag took her six grandchildren on summer trips. On her own expeditions, she has visited all continents except one. She says that she is still dreaming.
