The agreement established between CardinalCommerce and Humboldt Merchant Services results in Humboldt Merchant Services recommending the CardinalCommerce 3-D Secure payer authentication technology to its merchants interested in implementing the Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode programs.
CardinalCommerce currently provides authentication services through its proprietary technology, Cardinal Centinel. Online merchants who implement the Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode programs currently benefit from guaranteed payment on nearly 70 percent of their e-commerce transaction volume. In addition, merchants can eliminate fraud-related chargebacks and have the ability to substantially lower their discount rate. Authenticated payments also offer guaranteed payment and fraud liability protection on international orders as well as domestic orders.
