Aerofoam Metals Inc. Announces Non-Disclosure Agreement with Decoma International Inc.

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, Oct. 6, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Aerofoam Metals Inc. (Pink Sheets:AFML); (www.aerofoammetals.com) is pleased to announce that it has signed an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) with Decoma International Inc. -- a wholly-owned operating division of Magna International Inc. -- for the purpose of exploring areas of joint potential opportunity regarding Aerofoam Metals Inc. material.

"Automotive-related applications are ideal situations for the use of our Aerometal(tm). One of our strategic goals has been to target the automotive industry and we are very excited that we have been able to engage the industry as quickly as we have. The importance and value of this has not been lost on us and Aerofoam Metals looks forward to immersing itself in this opportunity," said Mr. Paul Colacci, Chairman of the Board and Head of Product Development. "As the automotive industry is looking for ways of increasing gas mileage for vehicles thereby reducing the need for fossil fuels, the use of Aerometal(tm) in vehicle applications will reduce the overall weight of the vehicle while maintaining strength. Added to that the fact that Aerometal(tm) has compaction capabilities to help avoid passenger injuries coupled with the material's energy/compaction qualities, make the potential opportunities in the industry very promising. Safety, reduced weight, better gas mileage, and reducing the dependence on oil are all tremendous value-added benefits that our Aerometal(tm) offers the industry."
