Delta Continues Expansion at JFK With New Nonstop Service to Phoenix/Scottsdale/Tempe


NEW YORK, Nov. 16, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Delta Air Lines is continuing to increase customer choices from its New York-JFK hub with the addition of a key transcontinental destination from JFK: Phoenix/Scottsdale/Tempe. Effective Feb. 15, 2007, Delta will add one daily round-trip flight between JFK and Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, complementing its other transcontinental routes to San Francisco, Seattle, Las Vegas, San Diego, Los Angeles and Salt Lake City.

"As part of Delta's continued expansion at our New York hub, we're offering customers the convenience of nonstop service to more of their favorite business and leisure destinations, including Phoenix/Scottsdale," said Bob Cortelyou, vice president - Network Planning at Delta. "Additionally, our Arizona customers will be able to take advantage of our strong international connections to destinations in five continents from our hub at New York's JFK airport."

Delta's new service between New York-JFK and Phoenix/Scottsdale/Tempe will be operated with the 150-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Customers may purchase tickets for next year's flights beginning today at delta.com. Flights are scheduled as follows:
