Delta to Offer Customers Only Nonstop Service Between Salt Lake City and Charlotte

Customers will have access to more than 345 flights to 108 destinations through Salt Lake City -- one of the largest hubs in the West -- by March 2007


SALT LAKE CITY, Nov. 30, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Customers in the western United States will have another reason to choose Delta this winter as Delta begins the only nonstop service between Salt Lake City and Charlotte, N.C., effective March 1, 2007. The additional flights are part of Delta's expansion of its western hub, offering business travelers convenient flights to important business destinations across the country.

"Whether for business or pleasure, and just in time to get in some great skiing, Delta's new service will offer Charlotte customers the only nonstop flights to Salt Lake City," said Bob Cortelyou, Delta's vice president of Network Planning. "Convenient connections at our growing hub in Salt Lake offer the opportunity to access destinations throughout the West from one of the largest hubs in the region."

Delta's daily service to Charlotte will be operated using the 150-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft -- equipped with in-flight entertainment offering customers movies, TV and music.
