Expands Dean NYC Branding by Adding Major Consulting Component

NEW YORK, Dec. 6, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Dean NYC, an agency specializing in all aspects of strategic brand marketing and communication, announced today the acquisition of Marketing Insights, Inc., a leading marketing research and brand advisory company headed by veteran marketing consultant Karen Dubinsky. She will hold the title of Chief Branding Officer.

"This is a significant accomplishment for us," said Thom Dean, CEO of Dean NYC. "Karen has one of the finest reputations in the industry; to add someone of her caliber to our portfolio of brand offerings is a giant step forward for us and a great asset to our clients. A keen understanding of today's and tomorrow's consumer is at the epicenter of our mission and, therefore, this acquisition was a natural first."

Marketing Insights -- created in 1987 by Ms. Dubinsky -- was founded to help clients create meaningful brands, manage those brands through complex environments and adapt them to a changing world.

"Dean NYC shares our vision," observed Dubinsky. "I've worked with Thom successfully for 20 years; we've worked with many clients together and we share a strong bond on our process and our strategic thinking."

Among Marketing Insights clients have been major brands and companies that read like a who's who of world commerce. They run the gamut of brand marketing and include such stalwarts as JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, MetLife, IBM, AT&T, The American Red Cross, Absolut, Chivas Regal, Carvel, Tropicana, FedEx and MasterCard.

Dean and Dubinsky have partnered in a number of successful projects in the entertainment industry with clients such as Sony, Comcast, and Turner Entertainment Networks. "In building our credentials in the entertainment industry over the past 10 years, Karen and I have developed a process called 'Outside the Box'(tm). Our branding power through this process has been unrivaled in the industry," noted Dean. "Karen's focus gives us greater strategic direction and will allow us to continue to build powerful tools to create and implement brand platforms for our clients."

Dubinsky, who resides in New York City, has an MBA from Columbia and a BA from Wellesley College. She is a highly sought-after guest speaker, having appeared at numerous marketing seminars. She has also authored scores of by-lined articles for a number of marketing and trade publications.
