TDECU Selects Liberty as Premier Financial Solutions Provider

Full Suite of Solutions Available Through Liberty Brings Value TDECU Was Seeking in Financial Solutions Organization

ATLANTA, Feb. 20, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- TDECU has selected Liberty as its primary financial solutions provider with the addition of four new business lines: checks, payment books, statements and direct marketing services. Liberty is the credit union arm of John H. Harland Company (NYSE:JH).

With 93,000 member-owners and more than $1 billion in assets, the Lake Jackson, Texas-based credit union is no stranger to Harland. TDECU already uses the company's industry-leading MCIF service, Intrinsic. The addition of multiple new products gives TDECU the opportunity to reach many of its marketing and member goals, including enhancing the onboarding experience for new members, improving checking convenience offerings and increasing member growth. The recently expanded partnership also allows TDECU to significantly consolidate its vendor partnerships, a key goal for the credit union.

"We knew we needed to approach our marketing effort very differently than we have in the past," said Caite Blount, vice president of marketing and training at TDECU. "We wanted to utilize the data that we have at our fingertips each day -- our MCIF -- and leverage this information to build deeper relationships with our existing members and selectively reach out to potential members."

Through a vendor evaluation process TDECU ultimately chose to extend its business relationship with Harland through Liberty in order to meet these goals.

"The extensive services now available through Liberty will allow us to integrate our many member 'touch points' into a cohesive, measured marketing effort," said Blount. "We firmly believe that Liberty is a great partner to assist us in meeting our future goals."

Today, Harland provides one or more solutions to two-thirds of all financial institutions nationwide. By offering 34 distinctive sets of capabilities, such as risk management, staff training and education, core systems and marketing solutions, Harland has established itself as one of the leading providers of comprehensive solution offerings to credit unions and banks.

"Our expanding partnership with TDECU demonstrates the value of a true partnership. The dedication TDECU has to focusing on its member relationships combines well with our tightly integrated solutions to ensure member needs are fully met. Like TDECU, we've invested significantly in creating unique solutions to help credit unions and their members grow," said Shannon Goldman, vice president of sales for Liberty.
