Statoil: SEC draft prospectus submitted


Statoil (OSE: STL, NYSE: STO) has submitted a Form F-4  to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) which contains a draft prospectus relating to the merger of Hydro's oil and gas activities with Statoil. The draft prospectus is attached to this announcement.
 
The prospectus is not final until approved by the SEC, and changes and revisions must be anticipated. After the SEC has approved the registration document, a final prospectus will be prepared and submitted to Statoil and Hydro shareholders, no later than coincident with the notice of the extraordinary general meetings which will consider the merger plan.
