ATLANTA, March 28, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Building on the more than 19 new destinations already announced for summer 2007, Delta Air Lines will add two new cities and four more domestic routes from its U.S. hubs and gateways in Los Angeles, Salt Lake City and New York City. With the additions, Delta now plans to offer customers access to 21 new worldwide destinations during the peak summer travel season. Delta's newest routes, effective this June, are as follows:
-- Los Angeles to Portland, Oregon (effective June 7)**; -- New York-JFK to St. Louis, Mo. (effective June 7)*; -- New York-LaGuardia to Myrtle Beach, S.C. (effective June 7)*; -- Salt Lake City to Birmingham, Ala. (effective June 7)** -- Salt Lake City to San Luis Obispo, Calif. (effective June 11)**; and -- New York-JFK to Nantucket, Mass. (effective June 14)***
With its latest additions, Delta and the Delta Connection carriers will offer customers service to more than 330 worldwide destinations this June -- more than any other global airline.

All of Delta's expanded service announced today will be operated by Delta Connection carriers using regional jet aircraft seating between 50 and 70 passengers with no middle seats. Longer-haul routes, such as Salt Lake City to Birmingham, feature CRJ900 aircraft that add the comfort and convenience of 10 first class seats to the 60-seat Economy class cabin.
