About the Author

Carolyn Lightsey lived on a little farm at K'ville. It was not much of a farm. She grew up to move to different places. The author has seen lots and been through almost anything. Everything she is writing about is real life and things she has seen, and about her feelings. Lightsey has been hurt and rejected. She did not get to see her granddaughters in two years, you can imagine what that did to her. Her granddaughter Christian died and the other half of life had been taken away from her. The author had a hard life. It has been sad, with not much happiness. Her husband abused her and her daddy was a drunk. Lightsey's life was so lonely then, but she is a grandmother now. Her mother died and that almost killed her. Then her aunt died, then her grandpa, so she is left out. The author's daddy is dead to all but her brothers and sisters. Lightsey also has a twin. They are not alike but very different. The author wanted to write about her real life. To all the women out there, be careful, don't let your guard down. It could happen to you.
