Rotterdam, 16 April 2007 - AND Automotive Navigation Data, leading provider of worldwide digital mapping data for 'in-car' and personal navigation, today announced that it has been selected by ALK Technologies to provide Turkish digital maps for ALK's line of personal navigation software.
The ALK CoPilot GPS navigation software finds the destination anywhere in Turkey. With 16 cities on full street level and all cities and villages connected to the road network, travelling in Turkey becomes very easy. The software supports portrait, landscape, square and VGA displays and customizable routing profiles give the user complete control over what kind of roads CoPilot prefers (highways, local roads, etc.).
The Turkish maps include more than 355,000 kilometres of roads. "We are very proud to offer our maps for the ALK CoPilot GPS navigation. This contract not only shows the results of the expansion of AND's Indian production facility last year, but also the increased interest in personal navigation products for Turkey," according to Maarten Oldenhof, CEO at AND Automotive Navigation Data.
