Kesko Food appointed chain management


 
 
 
Kesko Food has appointed Mika Rautiainen (44), M.Sc. (Econ.), as Vice President responsible for the food trade in the K-citymarket chain and Ari Svensk (43), M.Sc. (Econ.), as Vice President responsible for the K-market unit. Both appointments will be effective as of 1 June 2007.
 
Mika Rautiainen has been employed by the K-Group since 1988. In Kesko Food he has most recently been Vice President responsible for the K-market chain, the K-extra chain and Pikoil Oy. His previous positions also include European Trade Director for AMS, a European food and non-food buying alliance, in Holland and Switzerland in 1999-2003.
 
Ari Svensk has been employed by Kesko since 1993. He has most recently been Kesko Food's Purchasing Director responsible for groceries and before that held the positions of Director, Hypermarkets and Director, Central Sourcing in the Baltic countries.
 
Karri Pulli, the present Vice President for the food trade in the K-citymarket chain resigns at his own request and will continue in Kesko Food's project assignments until the end of November.
