Stora Enso and Papyrus launch new Performa 2S board
Stora Enso is introducing new Performa 2S board grade for high-quality graphical and packaging products. Performa 2S is a two-side coated folding boxboard with excellent printing properties and highest bulk and stiffness among two-side coated boards on the market.
"There have been very few two-side coated folding boxboards on the market and the customers wanting such a product have lacked options in this category. Performa 2S will stir up the market and provide a welcome new option for these customers. Moreover, the board has better bulk and stiffness than any of its rival products," says Pasi Ahokas, Vice President, Stora Enso Graphical Boards.
CTMP gives extra stiffness
Performa 2S is a newcomer in Stora Enso's Performa CTMP product family.
Performa CTMP boards combine the stiffness, runnability and high yield of folding boxboard with the mechanical properties and chemical purity of solid bleached sulphate board. CTMP (chemi-thermomechanical pulp) is used in the middle layer of the board. The construction provides superior performance in printing, converting and demanding end uses.

Performa 2S is available in grammages from 215 to 400 gsm. Paper and board merchant Papyrus will serve as Performa 2S merchant in twenty-one countries.
