Airspan Announces Appointment of Paul Senior as Chief Technical Officer

BOCA RATON, FL--(Marketwire - June 20, 2007) - Airspan Networks Inc. (NASDAQ : AIRN ), a
leading worldwide provider of WiMAX and Wi-Fi based broadband wireless
access networks, today announced the appointment of Paul Senior as Chief
Technical Officer for the company. In this position Mr. Senior will
oversee the company's product strategy and marketing efforts worldwide.
Paul Senior began his career at GEC Telecoms and continued his research
work at Plessey Research, and later on at Nortel, where he developed
Network Planning techniques for the early GSM network deployments in his
role as Product Manager for Nortel's GSM Radio and Switching Products. At
Airspan, he has served as Head of Airspan's Radio Planning Team, Director
of Customer Services, Senior Director of Operations and Sales, Asia
Pacific, and as Vice President, Marketing and Product Management.
In late 2002, Mr. Senior participated in the creation of today's WiMAX
Forum, alongside other industry visionaries. Today, he is a Charter Board
member of the WiMAX Forum and remains one of its most vocal supporters.
