Carlsberg CEO Nils S. Andersen gets new top job

Nils S. Andersen will leave his position as President and CEO of Carlsberg A/S
to take up the position as President and CEO of A.P. Møller-Mærsk A/S by 1.
December 2007. A.P. Møller-Mærsk is Denmark's largest company, and one of the
world's largest shipping companies.

Povl Krogsgaard-Larsen, chairman of Carlsberg A/S's Board of Directors says:
"Nils S. Andersen has made a tremendous contribution to Carlsberg's success and
under his leadership Carlsberg has developed into a very strong, international
Group with good prospects for further growth and value creation to our
shareholders. We are sorry that Nils has decided to leave Carlsberg, but we
also congratulate him with yet another very exciting position."

Nils S. Andersen says: "I am leaving a company in very good shape - with great
leaders, employees and strong brands. The Carlsberg Group and I have been on a
unique journey together. It could have gone on for many years if it wasn't for
this new opportunity at A.P. Møller-Mærsk, which I regard as a very exciting
challenge at the right time of my life."

Carlsberg's Board of Directors will now initiate the process of finding a
successor who, together with Carlsberg's senior management, will continue the
development of the Carlsberg Group in line with the Group's strategy.

Nils S. Andersen has been with Carlsberg for more than 20 years; the past six
years as President and CEO. The exact time of his resignation has not been
finally determined, but it will take place no later than mid-November after the
announcement of Carlsberg's 3rd quarter results.
