Canyon Acres Welcomes John Evans to Board of Directors


ANAHEIM HILLS, Calif., July 2, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Canyon Acres Children and Family Services, a charity organization committed to providing homes, care, treatment and supportive services for abused, neglected and emotionally troubled children and their families, today announced that John Evans has joined its board of directors. Mr. Evans is currently senior vice president and regional manager of the Wells Fargo Newport Beach Regional Private Client Services Office.

"Mr. Evans has an outstanding leadership record and, with experience on numerous boards in the arts, Mr. Evans will be able to help Canyon Acres extend its philanthropic network."

Mr. Evans has worked with Wells Fargo since 1969, when he was appointed regional manager of South/Central/Eastern Europe. Since then his tenure has taken him to Tehran, as Middle East Managing Representative; to Brussels, as Manager of European Continental Corporate Banking; to Los Angeles, as Group Manager of the Metropolitan (large corporate) Division; and to Salt Lake City, where he was appointed Corporate Banking Manager of the bank's Utah affiliate.

In 1986, Evans returned to Southern California to manage Wells Fargo's Business Banking Orange County Airport Office. He assumed his current responsibilities in 1991 and oversees trust, investment management, brokerage, and private banking activities in Orange County. Mr. Evans also serves on the board of the Orange County Performing Arts Center, the Pacific Symphony Orchestra, and the Orange County Business Committee for the Arts.
