Bob Evans Farms Announces Celebration of Life Service Saturday, July 7 At 2 P.M. for Company Founder


COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 5, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Together with the Evans family, Bob Evans Farms Inc. invites friends, family and customers to a celebration of Mr. Bob Evans's life on Saturday, July 7, 2007, at 2 p.m. at the Ohio State University's Mershon Auditorium, 1871 N. The program will include speeches from Clyde Evans, State Representative; Steve Davis, chairman and chief executive officer of Bob Evans Farms; Leslie Lilly, Director of the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio; David Graham, chief of the Ohio Division of Wildlife; Harold Krueger, Mr. Evans's early business partner; Jim Helt, of the Ohio 4-H Foundation; and several other esteemed speakers.

Bob Evans died Thursday, June 21, 2007, from complications of pneumonia at 12:30 p.m., at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Bob Evans retired as president of Bob Evans Farms on Dec. 31, 1986.
