Objective Systems Announces a Major New Release of XBinder

EXTON, Pa., July 12, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Objective Systems Inc., a leading developer of software to support open communications standards, announces the release of Version 1.2 of its XBinder(tm) XML schema compiler and run-time libraries.

XBinder is an XML data binding application targeted at developers who use XML schema in messaging applications such as web services. It is similar to Java and .NET web services toolkits except that it targets the C and C++ programming languages.

"This is a tool that allows rapid development of interfaces in C and C++ for XML and SOA applications," explained Ed Day, President of Objective Systems. "The use of data binding tools can save the developer from having to learn the internals of XML schema -- a very complex and daunting standard."

New features include:

 * The use of a new, pull-parser-based approach to XML decoding that
eliminates the cumbersome SAX interface and improves decoding
performance by an order of magnitude.

 * Generation of derivation types for xsi: type handling. Special
derivation types are now generated which collect all the possible
   derivations in complex content types.

 * Support for encode-to/decode-from an abstract Document Object Model
   (DOM) tree.

 * Addition of copy constructors and deep-copy for all C++ classes.

 * Addition of libxml2 source code and build scripts to the
   distributions.

Evaluation software can be freely downloaded from the company website.
