RAPID CITY, S.D., Aug. 30, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) will further demonstrate its commitment to Rapid City today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new National Work Force Center at 1241 Concourse Drive.
The National Work Force Center is part of a new initiative by the company to provide high-quality, cost-effective technology centers within the United States as an alternative to off-shoring. As an American company performing national security work, Northrop Grumman has made it a priority to develop an alternative to the off-shoring business model. This unique solution -- National Work Force Centers -- is the first of its kind in the industry.
The National Work Force Center in Rapid City will provide 10,000 square feet of modern, well-equipped technical office space. Northrop Grumman will hire approximately 50 to 60 new full-time employees in Rapid City, with potential for growth in future years. The facility contains space for future expansion.
