TEMPE, AZ--(Marketwire - September 17, 2007) - "Screen Wars," a television show produced by
students of the University of Advancing Technology (UAT), has been
nominated for six Rocky Mountain Emmy awards. Rocky Mountain Emmys are
regional Emmy awards given out annually by the Rocky Mountain Southwest
Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
"Screen Wars" was nominated in the following categories: Arts and
Entertainment Program Special, On-camera Talent Performer, On-camera Talent
Host, Arts and Entertainment Special Feature, and Director of
Post-production.
UAT students direct and produce "Screen Wars" in its entirety. UAT students
Todd Anderson and Erin Frisbie, as well as UAT Associate Professor Paul
DeNigris, are named as nominees for the awards. To view a list of all

"Screen Wars," which airs weekly on Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. on AZ-TV,
debuted in 2005 to promote the local film industry and educate Arizona
filmmakers. Each half-hour episode features three films which are then
voted on by viewers.
An annual awards ceremony is held recognizing films showcased on "Screen
Wars." Awards are given out for directing, acting, writing, editing and
cinematography.
The 2007 Rocky Mountain Emmy Awards will be held at the Renaissance
Glendale Hotel and Spa, 9495 W. Coyotes Blvd., Glendale on Saturday,
October 6, 2007.
