LAS VEGAS, Nov. 5, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- City National Bank today opened its new Nevada regional headquarters facility in the Summerlin area of northwest Las Vegas. The new facility is located at 10801 West Charleston near the I-215 and the Red Rock Resort and Spa. Approximately 50 bank personnel this past weekend moved into the first and second floors of this new six-story, 150,000 square foot building. The bank's new state-of-the-art facility, which it has branded City National Centre, is part of the Summerlin Centre development that The Howard Hughes Corporation is developing along the western rim of the Las Vegas Valley.

The first floor of the bank's new regional headquarters houses a full-service branch that includes five teller stations, two new accounts stations that are also ADA-accessible, safe deposit boxes, two drive-up teller windows, a 24-hour drive-up ATM and night depository.

Also occupying the first floor of this facility are Private Banking and Wealth Management offices. City National recently introduced these capabilities in Nevada. The second floor consists of executive offices, bank operations, corporate and commercial real estate lending centers, loan administration, cash management, accounting, marketing and public relations, compliance and information technology.

"We are very excited to finally be moving into what will clearly become the premier office and business location in southern Nevada," said John Guedry, executive vice president and Nevada manager of City National Bank. "The fact that this building is nearly 100 percent leased by prominent companies is a real testament to its location and the potential it has of becoming the heart of the business district in Las Vegas."

Other well-known companies that will be located in this Class "A" office building include Ferttita Enterprises, LandAmerica, UBS Financial, Seegmiller & Associates, Hill International, Coffey & Rader CPAs, and more. The new City National Centre facility is in the second building to be completed in the Summerlin Centre development.

Summerlin Centre is an urban village, master-planned development that will combine commercial, residential and retail space on more than 200 acres. The new Summerlin Regional Retail Center, which broke ground earlier this year, will also be part of the development and will open almost two million square feet of retail space in late 2009.

City National's commitment to the environment is reflected in its new Summerlin facility. The bank used a number of green building materials in its flooring, paints, adhesives, lighting fixtures, and more throughout the 25,000 square foot area that it occupies on the first and second floors. All of the bank's new facilities are built with green building material, including the Hughes Center location that opened in May of this year.

"City National takes great pride in developing environmentally and ergonomically friendly buildings for both its staff and clients who spend a great deal of time in these facilities," Guedry said. "The bank's commitment to the environment is very evident through the many programs and projects it gets involved in, such as shredding and recycling used office supplies, purchasing supplies from recycled materials, developing new facilities with green building materials, and the use drought-tolerant landscaping."

With the opening of the new Summerlin facility, the bank has opened two new full-services branches in Nevada this year bringing the total number of statewide branch locations to nine. The bank will be launching a grand opening celebration, including a VIP reception, later this month.
