Photo Release -- Northrop Grumman Appoints Joseph J. Ensor to Lead New Space & ISR Systems Division


BALTIMORE, Jan. 7, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has named Joseph J. Ensor as vice president and general manager of the newly-created Space & ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) Systems Division within the company's Electronic Systems sector, effective immediately.

The division, which will be based in Baltimore, combines the sector's C4ISR Networked Systems business area with its Space Sensors & Exploitation Systems businesses to enhance customer responsiveness and pursue growth opportunities in related markets. Ensor will have executive responsibility for programs and operations at facilities in Baltimore; Azusa, Calif.; and Boulder and Colorado Springs, Colo.

Ensor joined the company in 1979 and has held a number of management positions in engineering, logistics and program management. In 1992, he was named program manager for the Stingray Laser Program and held subsequent program management positions on the Reconnaissance, Intelligence, Surveillance and Target Acquisition, Airborne Surveillance Minefield Detection System and United Kingdom Replacement Maritime Patrol Aircraft programs. In 2000, he was named program manager for the Block 60 Integrated FLIR (forward-looking infrared) Targeting System program, and, in 2002, was appointed program director for a classified radar program. In 2005, he was named vice president of Combat Avionics Systems. For the past year, he has served as vice president of Space Sensors and Exploitation Systems.

Ensor earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from Loyola College in Baltimore and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Maryland. He completed the General Manager Program at Harvard Business School and the University of Maryland's Executive Marketing Strategy Program.
