About the Author

Born and raised in Flushing, N.Y., Marie attended Flushing High School. After she left school she went to work as a switchboard operator for a trucking company, where she soon worked her way into a secretarial position. Having taken secretarial training including shorthand in school, her employer realized she would be more of an asset to his company if she used the skills for which she was trained. A wise choice for her, since over the next forty years, she worked as an executive secretary for various companies.
