Peab constructs a highway section in Bohuslän Peab has been commissioned to build another stage of the road-extension in the Norge/Vänerbanan project. This stage streches between the villages Nol and Älvängen north of Kungälv. Peab has received the order from BanaVäg i Väst and the contract is worth SEK 270 million. BanaVäg i Väst is a joint project between Banverket and Vägverket, the National Railway and Road associations, that entails building a double track railway and a four lane road between Gothenburg and Trollhättan, at the same time. The commission entails building 3,9 kilometres four lane road, two junctions, six bridges, rock- and soil shafts, soil reinforcement and reconstruction of local roads. Construction has started and it is estimated to be completed in August 2011.
