ARQUES sells plant manufacturer Hottinger
- Exit after first restructuring phase
- Buyer continues the restructuring process
Starnberg, September 4, 2008 - The Starnberg-based ARQUES Industries AG
(ISIN DE0005156004) sold the plant manufacturer Hottinger Maschinenbau
GmbH, Mannheim, for a symbolic price. The buyer is the Turnaround Finance
Beratungs- und Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH, Frankfurt/Main, who will
continue the restructuring of Hottinger.
In March 2006 ARQUES had acquired the manufacturer of core shooters for a
symbolic price and restructured it fundamentally. Among other things ARQUES
expanded the product range of Hottinger, implemented a project management
and internationalized the sales activities. In financial year 2007
Hottinger reported revenues of just under EUR 18 million. ARQUES decided to
sell Hottinger because this size is clearly below the current investment
focus of ARQUES which is EUR 30 million in revenues.
