Atlas Copco acquires UK compressor distributor

Stockholm, Sweden, January 12, 2009: Atlas Copco has acquired Compressor
Engineering Ltd., a privately owned UK distributor and service provider for 
compressed air equipment, with customers throughout the Northamptonshire and
Manchester areas.

The acquired company has 39 employees and annual revenues of about MGBP 3.5
(MSEK 40). It offers complete packages in the supply, installation and
maintenance of compressors and related equipment.

Compressor Engineering Ltd. will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Atlas Copco
Compressors Ltd. and will operate within Atlas Copco's Compressor Technique
business area. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
