GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas, March 2, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The U-Haul Company of Dallas today announced the promotion of Todd West to president. West brings 13 years of U-Haul experience to his new position, where he will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company, including truck, trailer and storage rentals.

West began his U-Haul career in August 1995 as an assistant manager trainee for the U-Haul Center of I-45 in Houston, Texas. In January 1996, West was promoted to area field manager (AFM) of the U-Haul Company of South Houston. Shortly thereafter he was promoted to marketing company senior staff. Between April 1997 and April 2000, West served as AFM for the U-Haul Company of South Houston, U-Haul Company of North Texas, U-Haul Company of Austin and U-Haul Company of Dallas. In July 2002, West was promoted to marketing company president (MCP) of U-Haul Company of Dallas. West left U-Haul in 2005, but returned in March 2008 as AFM for U-Haul Company of Dallas. With this latest promotion, MCP West will oversee operations for U-Haul Company of Dallas.
