Masterflex Brennstoffzellentechnik GmbH and digomed: medical IT solutions
GmbH agree to cooperate on marketing fuel cells
Herten, 10 March 2009. Masterflex Brennstoffzellentechnik GmbH, a
subsidiary of Masterflex AG, Gelsenkirchen, and digomed: medical IT
solutions GmbH, Castrop-Rauxel, will cooperate in the future on marketing
fuel cells for indoor applications of 'mobile ward rounds and workshop
trolleys'.
The complete integration of fuel cells in indoor applications without
further safety features is first made possible by the innovative,
patent-pending 'Lopes' safety system developed by Masterflex
Brennstoffzellentechnik.
Due to the high storage density - only 180 grams of hydrogen is needed -
the period of use of the entire system is much longer than any battery
technology used to-date. With Masterflex fuel cells, long charging times
are a thing of the past.
digomed: medical IT solutions GmbH is Germany's forerunner in the area of
'mobile computing in medical institutions'. One of its premium products is
the 'fuel cell powered' edition of the 'digodoc'.
Mains-independent use of 'digodoc' is possible for long periods of time -
up to thirty hours using the newest generation Masterflex fuel cell system.
Together with WLAN and efficient mobile computer technology, the hydrogen
fuel cell leads to considerably improved integration of data access and
data administration in natural operational procedure. Therefore, access to
required data is possible anywhere.
