Newbuilding becomes NORDIC TANKERS' first vessel to sail under the Danish flag

Today, Nordic Tankers had the LR1 product tanker NORDIC ANNE delivered from the
Chinese shipyard New Times Shipbuilding. The vessel becomes the company's first
vessel to sail under the Danish flag.

NORDIC ANNE, which was ordered in 2006, is a 73,500 dwt tanker with 12 cargo
tanks of about 83,000 cubic metres for refined oil products. The vessel will be
included in TORM's LR1 pool.

NORDIC ANNE is Nordic Tankers' first vessel to operate under the Danish flag.

”The fact that NORDIC ANNE is going to sail under the Danish flag reflects our
appreciation of the great effort made by the Danish authorities for the
shipping industry in Denmark. We expect that other Nordic Tankers vessels are
going to operate under the Danish flag in the years to come”, says Chairman
Klaus Kjærulff.

NORDIC ANNE is named after the wife of board member Mogens Buschard.

Two more vessels are scheduled for delivery in the coming months: The
handy-size vessels NORDIC AGNETHA and AMY, which Nordic Tankers co-owns with
its business partner Zacchello Group, Italy. These two vessels will be included
in Maersk Tankers' Handytankers pool.

Including these newbuildings, the Nordic Tankers fleet will total ten
state-of-the-art vessels with an average age of just 2.6 years. The young and
modern fleet is a significant competitive parameter because of increasing
safety and environmental requirements.

The delivery of NORDIC ANNE will not affect the outlook for 2009, which remains
unchanged since the interim announcement of the financial statements of 26
March 2009 (Stock Exchange Release no. 52).
