NCC to renovate Freifjord tunnel in Norway for approximately SEK 220 million

NCC Construction Norway has been commissioned to renovate the
five-kilometer-long Freifjord tunnel in Vestlandet, Norway. The client is the
Norwegian Public Roads Administration and the order value is approximately SEK
220 million.

Highway 70 Freifjord tunnel is a five-kilometer-long underground road tunnel
that was opened for traffic in August 1992. The tunnel forms part of the main
road between Kristiansund and Molde in Vestlandet, Norway.

The assignment includes upgrading of the tunnel to a modern standard. Among
other improvements, new water and frost proofing will be installed, the
ventilation system will be replaced and electronic installations will be
upgraded. The work will be conducted without having to close down the tunnel for
traffic. With reference to the work environment and traffic, most of the work
will be performed during evenings and at night.

- We are delighted at having been awarded the assignment to renovate the
Freifjord tunnel. This is a major assignment and we are particularly gratified
because it was NCC that constructed the original tunnel, says Knut Liavaag,
District Manager at NCC Construction Norway.

Work on the tunnel is scheduled to commence in August 2009 and will extend until
December 2010.

The order value will be registered during the second quarter of 2009.
