Surviving the Suicide of a Loved One -- Insightful New Book Tackles This Extremely Difficult Emotional Problem

HOLLYWOOD, Fla., May 22, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The death of a loved one is hard enough to accept. But what if the death of someone close to you, for example, a husband or a wife, is not by natural causes but was a suicide - how would you cope? A new book by Flori Bowen, Why? Spousal Survivor of Suicide, discusses this sensitive and exceedingly difficult question with welcome openness and insight.

Why? Spousal Survivor of Suicide addresses not only this problem but other issues such as physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, as well as substance and alcohol abuse. "Why?" seems to be the question most asked when something traumatic happens which is why the author chose it as the title of her book. She candidly writes about her experience before and after her husband's suicide.

This book is to help others see the "red flags" before it is too late. She also discusses the coping skills she used to keep herself moving forward in life and raising their daughter as a single parent. This book was part of her healing process -- and hopefully it will be to others too.

This book is now available. For more information, go to www.xlibris.com.
