Balda AG realigns organization structure in the Asia region

Bad Oeynhausen, 27 May 2009 - The Supervisory Board of Balda AG, listed in
the Prime Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, in its session on May
27 2009 has decided to newly design its organization structure in the Asia
region in line with its realignment of the Group and the replacement of the
Supervisory Board. The regional managements, already carrying large
responsibilities, will in future report directly to the Board of Directors.
One management level will thus be saved.

Following this package of measures the role of the Chief Executive Officer
(CEO) Asia held until now by Michael Chiang will no longer be performed.
The tasks will be assigned to the Board of Directors. Dr. Eichelberger, CEO
of Balda, expressed the appreciation of the company for Michael Chiang's
entrepreneurial leadership and support during the build-up years of Balda
Asia, especially China.
