City Service group, the largest facilities management company group in the Baltic States, announces its unaudited Consolidated Interim Financial Statements for first quarter of 2009, prepared according to International Financial Reporting Standards. Total consolidated City Service group's turnover for first quarter of 2009 was LTL 79.7 million (EUR 23.1 million), an increase by 47 % over the total turnover of LTL 54 million (EUR 15.6 million) for first quarter of 2008. Profit for the period amounted to LTL 3.9 million (EUR 1.1 million), an increase by 25% over LTL 3.1 million (EUR 0.9 million) a year ago. “The increase in turnover and profit was influenced by take-over of four facility management companies in Vilnius (Lithuania) in the start of the year, and also by increase of effectiveness of activities within the Group. Devaluation of Russian ruble also had an effect on profit of the first quarter”, - stated Mr. Žilvinas Lapinskas, Director General of City Service, AB. City Service group now consists of 33 facilities management companies operating in Lithuania, Russia, Latvia and Ukraine, managing approximately 24 million sq. m. of facilities.
