MOUNT PEARL, Newfoundland, June 5, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kat Exploration Inc. (Pink Sheets:KATX) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Kurt Hoffman to the Board of Directors.
Mr. Hoffman has held various positions of Director on a number of mining and Exploration companies. He has extensive experience in property acquisitions, exploration and development of mining properties in the U.S., Canada and South Africa.
Mr. Hoffman is President, Chief Executive Officer, and a Director of Sundance Diamonds Corporation, a privately held company engaged in the exploration for diamonds in the U.S. and South Africa. Mr. Hoffman has made extensive efforts to identify near term production opportunities in South Africa and has identified and commenced efforts to close transactions and produce diamonds in 2009.
In 2003, Mr. Hoffman co-founded High Plains Uranium, a publicly traded advanced exploration uranium mining company, and served as Vice President and a Director prior to the acquisition by Energy Metals Corporation.
From 1998 through 2004 Mr. Hoffman served as President, Chief Executive Officer, and a Director of Trend Mining Company.
