Kista is attracting companies in other areas besides IT and
communications. Klövern has let 1,600 sq.m. to a retail trade company
which has decided to locate its data centre in Kista. With this
lease, which runs for ten years with an annual rent of SEK 1.6
million, Klövern will achieve an occupancy rate of no less than 94
per cent in Kista.
The lease contract with ICA includes both data centre and offices.
The tenant will move in at the latest in November 2009.
"It's a well known fact that companies in the ICT sector, i.e.
Information and Communication Technology, choose Kista. But it is
incredibly gratifying to see that other types of companies also
appreciate the concentration of specific competence in the area and
are now choosing to locate their IT operations in Kista", says
Klövern's CEO Gustaf Hermelin.
Klövern is the largest property owner in Kista and owns 245,000
sq.m., mainly offices as well as industrial and warehouse facilities.
The tenants include the new exhibition and events centre Kistamässan,
whose permanent entrance on Kistagången has recently opened, and
Ericsson's head office.
